Synonym:
Lithology and Thickness
Alternating sandstone with Evaporite. It consists of 9730 feet of feature-forming, brown to gray, calcareous sandstone and low-weathering, gypsum-veined, red marl, and, siltstone. Chert is one of the most common sandstone constituents. Local developments of thin, discontinuous, gypsum beds are common. The Lahbari member consists of 5170 feet of low-lying, gypsum-veined, buff-colored siltstone, silty marl, and, subordinate sandstone and gypsum beds.
